Donald Hollis Welch was an American professional wrestler, best known for his time in the CWA and USWA. He began his career in 1968 and gained fame as part of the team The Bass Family alongside his brother Ron. In the 1980s, he formed The Interns and Fire and Flame in the Continental Wrestling Association, where he won multiple tag team championships and the AWA Southern Heavyweight Championship. In the 1990s, he adopted various masked personas in the USWA before retiring in 1996. After his retirement, he opened a wrestling school in Jericho, Arkansas, where he trained several wrestlers. Don Bass passed away on September 16, 2016, at the age of 70, after battling cancer.
