In 2021, she performed alongside Katy Perry for the opening night of her Play concert residency at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2023, she appeared in Baby Tate's music video "Wig". She got her first name, Joella, from a friend from high school who called her Joella. Joella is based in Los Angeles. She is of Chinese descent.
