Cynthia Sanz Carstens is an American award-winning journalist and magazine editor. A former editorial director at People magazine, she oversaw the brand's health, crime, human interest, royals, sports, books and politics verticals. She was promoted to Editorial Director of People Magazine in June 2019 from the previous position of Executive Editor since 1989. She previously worked for the NY Times and the Dallas Morning News. She has appeared on the true-crime series People Magazine Investigates and all of its' offshoots.
