Michelle León was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela to a Venezuelan father and an American mother. She was educated at a private bilingual Spanish/English school where she caught the acting bug and appeared in many productions before moving to the United States and continuing her studies in theatre at the Virginia Commonwealth University. At 18, she began touring with the Richmond Shakespeare Festival as Hero in Much Ado About Nothing and has been working professionally ever since.
