Bébé's nanny reads to him the exploits of Saint Martin, who gave half of his coat to a poor man at the gates of the city of Amiens, so that he could protect himself from the cold. The nanny takes him by the hand to see the two poor. She mends the coat with safety pins. The poor boy now has a whole coat. After the departure of Bébé and his nanny, the poor boy can now play the lord with his beautiful coat.
